About Caregevity

Some things are built from ideas. Caregevity was built from love — and from loss.

Seven years ago I lost my 29-year-old son.

There are no words that adequately describe what that does to a person. Grief of that magnitude does not just hurt — it reshapes you. It takes everything you thought you knew about life, about strength, about what matters, and it breaks it down to the most essential truth:

People should not have to go through the hardest moments of their lives alone.

That truth became my compass.

I have always been a natural caregiver. Long before I became a founder I was the person who moved toward people in pain instead of away from them. The one who showed up. The one who stayed. After losing my son I found myself redirecting all of that love — all of that grief — into a deeper purpose. I never wanted anyone to feel the way loss can make you feel. Invisible. Overwhelmed. Completely alone in something impossible.

So I started paying attention to who else was carrying something impossible.

And I found them everywhere.

The People Nobody Was Talking About

They were in their 40s and 50s. Working full time. Raising their own children. And quietly, without anyone asking, they had also become the primary caregiver for an aging parent.

They were managing medications they did not fully understand. Coordinating siblings who were not always helpful. Making medical decisions they had never been trained to make. Paying out-of-pocket costs that were draining their savings. Lying awake at 3am running through scenarios. And doing all of it — every single day — without a manual, without a system, and without anyone who truly understood the weight of what they were carrying.

They were adults caring for aging parents while raising their own families. Caught between two generations of people who needed them. Responsible for everyone. Supported by almost no one.

I saw myself in them. Not in the specific details — but in the feeling. The feeling of being in the middle of something enormous with no roadmap and no one who gets it.

I knew that feeling. And I knew I had to do something about it.

Why Caregevity Exists

Caregevity was not born in a boardroom. It was not the result of a market analysis or a business school case study. It was born from grief transformed into purpose. From a mother who lost her child and decided that loss would not be the end of her story — it would be the beginning of something that helped others write theirs.

I built Caregevity because family caregivers deserve more than a group text and a sticky note system. They deserve a real platform. A real community. Real tools that make an impossible job a little more manageable.

They deserve to feel supported. Organized. Prepared. And most of all — they deserve to feel like someone sees them and built something just for them.

Because nobody should have to do this alone.

Our Promise to You

Caregevity is built on one belief above everything else:

You should not have to do this alone.

Not the logistics. Not the emotions. Not the grief of watching someone you love need you more than they ever have before. Not the guilt, the exhaustion, the fear, or the love that drives all of it.

None of it should be carried alone.

We are here. Every step of the way. With tools that make the practical side more manageable and a community that makes the emotional side less lonely.

Because caring for the ones who cared for you is one of the most profound things a human being can do.

And you deserve to do it with support.
